what we did about white hat, Aydın Science High School

It is an inevitable fact that fossil fuels have an important place in our lives. We use these fossil fuels in almost every aspect of our lives, especially in heating, transportation and electricity generation. Fossil fuels were formed as a result of the thermochemical reaction of animal and plant wastes buried under the ground millions of years ago in a certain place. Major examples of fossil fuels are coal, oil and natural gas. Although our use of fossil fuels so much leads us to think that fossil fuels have positive effects, it has got negative effects like as positive effects. They have positive effects in terms of being economically cheap, easily transportable and storable, easy to install and effortless fuel. However, in addition to these positive effects, it also has many negative effects such as being the biggest trigger of global warming, being harmful to human and environmental health, being a non-renewable energy source, disrupting the ecological system, drought and famine, melting glaciers and rising sea level. In short, fossil fuels should not be used as much as possible, and under the conditions they are used, they should be used correctly and in accordance with the rules. This world is all ours

Student last survey results

For the post-test, the questions that were lower than the first test results were emphasized. Accordingly, the rate of those who did not see nuclear energy as renewable energy in the post-test increased from 78% to 80%. The rate of those who say that geothermal energy is not renewable energy has decreased from 63% to 45%. The percentage of those who say that geothermal energy is produced from the heat of magma has increased from 65% to 73%. The rate of those who say that energy can be produced from garbage increased from 76% to 83%. The rate of those who consider fossil fuels as renewable energy has decreased from 78% to 76%. The rate of those who think that we can produce biogas from plant and animal waste has increased from 73% to 82%. 94% of the students stated that they learned a new web 2.0 tool. Again, 94% of the students stated that they liked the collaborative product on global warming. 97% of the students stated that they liked the renewable energy collaborative product....

Let's talk about fossil fuels

Let's talk fossil fuels with the six hats method   Blue Hat  - The blue hat is metaphorically worn by the individual chairing a meeting, controlling a team, or managing a situation. They will often provide the ground rules in the form of an agenda, goals and scope. White Hat  - The White hat is used at the beginning and end of a session. Used at the beginning to concentrate on the facts or data available. Used at the end of a session to question ideas derived from using the other hats. Green Hat  - The green hat is used to encourage new and innovative ideas. Thinking outside the box where anything should be considered. No negative thinking or comment is allowed at this stage in the process. Yellow Hat  - The yellow hat is the optimistic hat, used to consider the possible merits of ideas which may have been generated by the green hat process. Red Hat  -This is the intuitive hat where feelings and emotions can be expressed, such as fears and dislikes. Th...
